Tashkent – Termez – Karshi - Shakhrizabs – Lyangar village - Samarkand

The program of tour day after day:

Day 1. Tashkent.
Arrival in Tashkent. Meeting at the Tashkent International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Accommodation. Dinner.Overnight in Tashkent.
Day 2. Termez.
Breakfast. Crossing to the local airport, a start to Termez. Arrival in Termez, a meeting at the airport, crossing to hotel, accommodation. The beginning on vicinities of Termez: crossing to ensemble of the mausoleums Termez seids the Sultan-Saodat (XI - XVII centuries) (15 km), excursion on an architectural complex. Crossing to old fortress Kyrk kyz (IX or X a century) (city forty girls) (2 kilometers from the mausoleum the Sultan-Sodat), excursion on ruins of a fortress. Returning in city, a lunch at restaurant "Lyazzat " . After a lunch continuation of country excursion. Crossing: Termez - the mausoleum суфия Khakim at Termezi (XI - XV centuries) (13 km), excursion on ensemble of the mausoleum. Crossing to a site of ancient settlement the Kara Tepa (2 kilometers from mausoleum Khakim), excursion on a site of ancient settlement. Crossing to Buddhist temple Fayz Tepa (2 km), excursion on an ancient temple. The termination of excursion, returning to Termez (16 km). A dinner, overnight in hotel.
Day 3. Qarshi.
Breakfast. Transfer: Termez - Qarshi (430 km). Lunch on the way. Arrival in Qarshi, transfer to hotel, accommodation. Visiting site of ‘Er-Qurghon' ancient settlement (IV c. BC). Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 4. Shakhrizabs – Lyangar kishlak.
Breakfast. Transfer: Qarshi - Shahrizabz (140 km). Arrival in Shakhrizabs. Short city sightseeing tour: Palace Ak-Saray (XIV c .), Kok-Gumbas mosque (XV c.), Dorus-Saodat Ensemble (XIV c.), Djuma Mosque. Lunch. After lunch transfer: Shkhrizabs – Lyangar village (80 km). Arrival in Lyangar village. Sightseeing tour: visit to the Friday mosque Khazrat-Lyangar (1519), Lyangar-ota mausoleum and ancient necropolis and to village. Transfer to Shakhrizabs (80 km). Arrival in Shakhrizabs, transfer to hotel, acc ommodation. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5. Samarkand.
Breakfast. Transfer: Shakhrizabs – Samarkand (160 km). Arrival in Samarkand. Lunch in the restaurant. After lunch drive to the Khodja Akrar complex. Sheik Khodja Akrar, Leader of the Nakhshbandi dervish order and an important political figure following Ulug Beg's death, is buried here. The mosque and madrassah have now been restored and, unlike many of the other sites we visit, are now functioning in their traditional role. The complex is very peaceful and the Khodja Akrar mosque is a fine example of the use of wood in Islamic architecture. We continue to Shah-i-Zinda, the holiest and one of the most dramatic sites in Samarkand. The prophet Mohammed's cousin is buried here and the Temurid aristocracy continued the tradition of building mausoleums on the site. The mausoleums, mosques and madrassahs, uniquely designed, line a narrow street leading to the Kussam Bin Abbas Mosque.  We continue to Ulughbeg Observatory, Ulugbeg, the grandson of Tamerlane was a far greater scholar than he was ruler. In 1424 he ordered the construction of the giant observatory. Following his death in 1449 the building was destroyed but the huge 90 – degree quadrant, the largest of its kind, was left, to be discovered in 1908 by a Russian archaeologist. The remaining buildings were restored in 1994. Lunch in local restaurant. On a fine day there are lovely views over the city. We will return to the city center and visit Bibi -Khanum Mosque. The mosque, in disrepair since soon after its completion at the beginning of the XV century, is famed for the extravagant scale on which it was designed and for the legends associated to it. The remainder of the afternoon will be free for independent exploration of the bazaar and another visit to the Registan. Dinner this evening will be served in the"Oasis" restaurant.
Day 6. Tashkent.
Breakfast. Transfer to Tashkent (280 km). Arrival in Tashkent, accommodation at hotel. This evening we will visit the city museum where we can see traditional costumes and instruments. Dinner this evening will be served in local restaurant. Overnight.
Day 7. Tashkent departure.
We depart from the hotel to airport, on arrival at the airport you will be asked to complete a customs declaration form and also to produce the form you completed on arrival. You may be asked to show receipts for currency exchange and any valuable goods that you have bought during the trip. End tour and our services.
