Aktobe town

Is a large industrial and cultural center of the north-western Kazakhstan . It was founded in 1869 on the place of the fortification Aktobe (the white hill). There are Ferro-alloy plants, the plant producing X-ray apparatus, the enterprises of agricultural mechanical engineering and producing oil equipment. There are also medical and pedagogical universities, summer academy, etc.
Airport.
International airport of Aktobe has VIP comfortable halls. With a capacity of 400 passengers in an hour, a runway, accepts all types of planes, is equipped with the modern automated control system of air movement on all Western Region of Kazakhstan.
Railway station.  
The railway transportations, with the length of over 1000km, with big junctions Aktobe, Kandagash, Shalkar, connect the main directions of the Middle Asia and Europe.
Bus station.  
The main transcontinental highway, Shymkent- Samara, connecting Europe with the Middle Asia passes through the territory of the oblast.

Sights of town

Geological exhibition. This unique object was founded in the geological museum, where the stone fund consisting of the 40 thousand archetypes of the western Kazakhstan 's land is being examined. An exhibition is scientific, over 2,5 thousand samples of natural minerals and surprising stone creations of the nature are submitted here.
